Associate Contract Counsel Responsibilities:

  • Assist Regulatory and Contract Counsel with reviewing, negotiating and drafting contracts with outside vendors and business partners, leading reviews and negotiations of complex agreements and agreements with high dollar worth.
  • Work in close liaison with Home Instead, Inc. internal business partners, and the affiliated entities, to identify their departments’ business objectives and ensure that any contracts they enter into enable the achievement of those objectives, leading regular meetings with the various business groups to identify and prioritize their contractual needs accordingly.
  • Serve as a reference to the franchise and master franchise network, answering general contracting questions and drafting template contractual documents for consideration and use by franchise and master franchise owners and their counsel.
  • Help ensure Home Instead, Inc. and its affiliated entities comply with all applicable federal, international, state, provincial and local laws and regulations.
  • Provide ongoing guidance to Home Instead, Inc. in the areas of risk management, vicarious liability mitigation and guidance, general legal advice and counsel.
  • Help oversee outside counsel.
  • Assist in the strategic planning and execution of company objectives.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate degree required.
  • One to five years of private practice or in-house legal experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
